Middleton Equestrian Centre Yard & Gardens
Middleton Equestrian Centre Gardens are designed and managed by Brian Arnold. Every year Brian designs the gardens and the surrounding areas, which make up Middleton Equestrian Centre. He then maintains the spectacular baskets, beds, and planters together with homegrown herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits throughout the summer months. Our gardens are a celebration of the highest quality horticulture.
This year Brian and his gardens have appeared on TV, as he is now using the Easy Fill Hanging Basket as advertised on the Ideal World Sky shopping channel. For more information on the type and style of baskets used at MEC please visit : www.idealworld.tv Brian makes regular phone in appearances on the show, and pictures of our centre are used in the advertising of the baskets.
We are displaying some of this year’s photographs of the gardens at the beginning of June, and will photograph our site, once more, mid July, when you will see our Centre at its best and in full bloom.
This year Brian has had to undergo extensive life saving surgery, which was scheduled for June 6th 2011. With this in mind, Brian has worked tirelessly, right up until his operation date to create the truly magnificent spectacle that is Middleton Equestrian Centre.
Brian grew bedding plants, and planted 60 Easy Fill baskets and 4 wall planters. He created a special look for our new office building with a riding carriage display, bay trees and baskets, and planted our popular ‘island’ bed together with our rear garden beds, and orchards, whilst also maintaining a vegetable plot, greenhouse tomatoes, strawberries, an orchard and a herb trug !!!
It is truly a miracle that Brian has been able to achieve such spectacular results, whilst awaiting major surgery. His colleagues at the Centre have continued to water his splendid gardens and Brian will be back, far too soon no doubt, to carry on with the day to day care and maintenance of his Centre.
We now know that Brian and the Centre are to be filmed by the Ideal World Channel, and you will no doubt see Brian, and the Centre, on TV in the near future – what a scoop for Brian and Middleton Equestrian Centre.
Testimonials:
Just a note to say what a fabulous job Brian has done with the hanging baskets and flower beds.
It brings a smile to my face every time I pull onto the yard, I just have to make sure Will.i.am doesnt try and take a nibble out of them!!
Please pass on our best wishes to Brian and tell him to keep up the good work.
Kind regards
Debi Robinson
Just a brief note to say how wonderful the yard looks
with all the tubs and baskets - it's set in beautiful countryside anyway but
the flowers now make it an absolute delight as you drive in - such a blast
of colour. As a gardener I know it must have taken an enourmous amount of
time and dedication to fill all the huge baskets let alone the tubs and
troughs as you go round the yard - worth every minute - totally fabulous.
Thankyou- Rebecca Backhouse.x
Hi Kerry,I was at MEC on Monday evening and struck by how beautiful the flowers in front of the house and around the yard are. Now they are in full bloom the effect is magnificent, whether it's the hanging baskets (which must have taken hours to plant), the flower beds or the planters and tubs. The picture in the evening sun was stunning and scent was really intoxicating; I must say I don't think I have seen or smelled anything so lovely in a garden! It brings such pleasure to see care and presentation like this in a working establishment (and your home!) You must feel a real sense of pride every time you drive in, it always brings a smile to my face!
Brian has provided us all with such a lovely display this year, all credit to him on his hard work and planning. Thank you Brian :-)
Please let Brian know my thoughts, hope to see him soon -
Love Heather x
