Riding School Hire:
Both indoor and outdoor schools are available for hire – please ask reception for details. We have also introduced a full set of professional show jumps which are used for lessons and are also available for hire. Hire charges are £10 per half hour per horse, in the outdoor or indoor schools,  jumps available but must be put up and put away by the hirer.

Team MEC Dressage will be taking a team of riders to compete at this competition.  Please speak to Kerry or Lewis if you wish to compete.  Please note – this competition will take place on grass.

Please Note: All competitors in the Finals MUST confirm entry by booking with our reception (telephone 0121 311 1601).  There will be a new test for both Walk/Trot and Beginner classes, this will available to download soon.

Please talk to us if you would like to practice the tests before the competition.  Our instructors will happily take you through the test in either a Private Lesson or as part of a Group Lesson.

Tuesday 1st June 2010 – Six riders from Team MEC attended the Show Jump Competition at Eland Lodge, Draycott in the Clay with results as follows :

MEC Showjump Championship 2010

5th Round Qualifier –Tuesday 17th August
Entries are now being taken for the next round of the championship.
Please note is competition will be the last opportunity to qualify for the Championship Finals to be held on 7th September 2010

The evening also includes a clear round competition.  Please call in to our reception or phone 0121 311 1601 to book a place.  Full details are available to download in the EVENTS section above.  Please also talk to us about availability on our regular jump lesson schedule and Showjump competitions held at other venues.

We introduced 2 Junior classes on the night.  The Junior (Open) section was competed by experienced riders/ponies.  The Junior (Novice) class was competed by riders who have never competed in a competition before or riders with ponies that have never been in a competition before– and well done to them all, they were great!

Solihull RC ODE - 5th September 2010

Solihull Riding Club is holding a One Day Event unaffiliated competition.  MEC would like to take a team of riders to compete and if you would like to have a go, training is underway.  Click here for more details

Team MEC Eventing

Saturday 4th July 2010
Will Scott and Jupiter III ran a BE90 at Eland Lodge, accompanying Team Apollo.  Following a best of the day dressage score and a double clear, the partnership went on to win their section.  Well done!!

Will & Jupiter will compete in the 5 year-old class (BE100 equivalent) at Stafford on July 23rd.
Sunday 26th June 2010
Will Scott and Jupiter III ran a BE90 at Milton Keynes.  The objective was to go clear on the XC section, which was achieved sporting new black and white colours!!

Saturday 12th June 2010 – Will Scott and Niina Navalainen competed at an unaffiliated ODE at Solihull Riding Club (set at BE90 level).
Will & Jupiter III got a 31.0 dressage and a double clear to finish 4th in his section
Niina & Buddy Marvellous unfortunately didn’t finish after they parted company near the 5th on the XC course.
Niina’s still smiling and has vowed to do another Event again!
Sunday 31st May 2010 – Our very own Will Scott and his new 4 year-old competed at Shelford Manor ODE at BE90.  For a first time out he finished a respectable 19th with a 35.0 dressage, clear SJ, and 2 stops and some time penalties on the XC phase.  His final score was 98.2.
