The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, and granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997, there are around 345 Branches and 600 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners.

The Pony Club is represented in no less than 27 countries with a worldwide membership exceeding 110,000 making it the largest association of young riders in the world.

The objectives of The Pony Club are:

• to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding
• to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of their animal
• to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline

Forthcoming Events 

Rallies

PC rallies for members only. This will include 2 riding lessons and 2 sessions of stable management. All lessons will be training towards each child’s relevant tests. The cost for the day will be £60. Members must bring their own packed lunch. The next dates are:

Pony Camp

Due to the huge success of last years Pony Camp, which had a staggering 12 members, all of which had a great time and passed their tests, we are preparing for another fun packed week with Will & Kathy. The date for your diary is :

Show Jumping Clinic

Before the competition season gets under way we will be holding a show jumping clinic. This is allows competitors the opportunity to jump round a course of fences with some instruction. Sessions include;

• 15 minutes of instruction
• 2 Rounds of Show Jumping
• Rosette for all Clear Rounds

The cost of these sessions is £25

Dressage Clinic

An opportunity to be able to warm up with other riders, and then ride through a dressage test with some help from an instructor.  Sessions include :  

• Warm up with other riders and horses
• Test riding, with instruction
• Tips from your instructor on how to improve your scores

The cost of theses sessions is £25
